Sweet Chili Peppercorn Steak

* Sweet Chili Peppercorn Rub:

1 Tbsp. H-E-B Brown Sugar

2 tsp. Hill Country Fare Chili Powder

1 tsp. fresh cracked black peppercorns

1 tsp. Central Market Organics Minced Garlic

1/2 tsp. kosher salt

1 (2 lb.) H-E-B All Natural Sirloin Steak, cut 1 inch thick


Combine brown sugar, chili powder, black pepper, garlic and salt in a
small bowl. Sprinkle the rub evenly over both sides of the steak, pres
sing the rub gently into the meat. Cover steak with plastic wrap and a
llow it to sit at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before grillin
Meanwhile, heat charcoal for 30 minutes until covered with a light lay
er of gray ash or heat gas grill on high for 10 minutes with lid close
Grill steak over medium heat (375°F grill surface temperature) for
4 to 7 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 140°
;F for medium rare or 150°F for medium doneness. Let steak sit for
2 minutes, then serve.
