Pepper Garlic Crusted Steak
12 - 16 minutes
2 Tbsp. kosher salt
2 ½ to 3 Tbsp. fresh cracked pepper
4 to 6 H-E-B Ready, Fresh, Go!® Garlic Cloves
½ c. H-E-B Olive Oil
4 (8 to 10 oz. each, ¾ -inch thick) H-E-B Natural Angus T-Bone Steaks
1 red onion, peeled and cut into ½-inch slices, rings separated
1 green bell pepper, seeds and stem removed, cut into strips
Combine salt, pepper, garlic, and olive oil in a food processor bowl.
Blend for 30 seconds or until garlic is chopped.
Press and rub pepper blend on both sides of each steak and place in a
tray or dish. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to g
Prepare charcoal or gas grill for cooking (375°F). Place steaks on gri
ll rack. Cook each side for 6 to 8 minutes or until internal temperatu
re reaches desired degree of doneness (medium-rare 145°F, medium 160°F
, well-done 170°F).
Spray a vegetable grill rack or mesh with olive oil. Arrange onion rin
gs and bell pepper strips on rack and season with salt and pepper. Spr
ay with olive oil nonstick cooking spray and grill for 4 minutes or un
til golden. Serve grilled onions and peppers with steaks.
