Jalapeño Bacon Fiesta Burgers

6 burgers

2 lb. ground beef (no leaner than 80/20)

6 whole-wheat Kaiser rolls

6 slices Havarti cheese

12 pieces H-E-B Brand Jalapeño Bacon

2 avocados

1 c. Iceberg Lettuce, finely shredded

1/2 c. Dijon mustard

2 Tbsp. chipotle hot sauce

1 container H-E-B Ready Fresh Go! Pico de Gallo

6 Tbsp. Central Market Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise

1/2 red onion cut into ½-inch thick rings

* Salt and pepper, to taste

* Non-stick cooking spray


Combine Dijon mustard and chipotle hot sauce together in a small bowl,
set aside. Cut and pit the avocados; then mash with a fork. Add pico
de gallo. Season as desired with salt and pepper.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat (425-450 degrees F) and spray with n
on-stick cooking oil.
Lightly coat onions with non-stick cooking spray; then season with sal
t and pepper. Place onions on the grill for 2 minutes on each side or
until tender.
Form meat into 6 patties, roughly 1½ inches thick. Season patties gene
rously with salt and pepper; then coat patties with non-stick cooking
spray. Place patties on the grill for 5 minutes with the lid closed.
Turn burgers and cook an additional 3 minutes with the lid closed. Aft
er 3 minutes, top burgers with a slice of cheese and allow an addition
al 2 minutes with lid closed.
While cooking the burgers, fry bacon in a pan over medium heat for 7 m
inutes or until crispy.
Spray each Kaiser roll with non-stick cooking spray and then place on
a clean area of the grill. Toast for 30 seconds on each side.
