Asian Gingered Salmon
Featured Recipe of the H-E-B Grill Master
2 cedar planks (soaked in water 1 hours prior to using)
4 (8 oz.) salmon filets
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. fresh grated ginger
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
2 tsp. ancho chili powder
• juice of 1 lemon
• zest of 1 lemon
To make marinade, lightly whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, ginge
r, garlic, ancho chili and lemon ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Place fillets in a sealable bag and add marinade. Turn bag and coat sa
lmon with marinade mixture. Let fillets sit for 2 to 6 hours, turning
bag occasionally. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Preheat grill to medium heat (350-400°F).
Place cedar planks on the grill; then place marinated salmon fillets o
n the planks.
Cover and cook for roughly 12 minutes or until salmon reaches an inter
nal temperature of 150°F.
