Italian Meatball Sub Melt
H-E-B World of Sandwiches: The Leaning Tower of Meat-Sa
1 bag (16 oz.) H-E-B Italian Style Fully Cooked Meatballs
1 jar (26 oz.) Ragu Pasta Sauce, any flavor
2 H-E-B Bakery French Stick Loaves
1 container (5 oz.) H-E-B Ready,Fresh,Go! Sliced Peppers & Onions
1 bag (6 oz.) H-E-B Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Heat oven to 400°F. Spray a large foil lined baking sheet with non
-stick cooking spray.
Combine the frozen meatballs and pasta sauce in a microwave safe bowl
and cover with plastic wrap. Heat in microwave on High power for 6 mi
nutes and set aside.
Cut out a full length V-shaped wedge along the top of each loaf (abou
t 2-inches wide and 2-inches deep). Evenly fill the loaves with the me
atballs and sauce. Top the meatballs with the sliced peppers & onions
and Parmesan cheese.
Place the filled loaves and the V-shaped bread wedges cut from the to
p of the loaves on the same baking sheet. Top the bread wedges with re
maining sauce, cheese, peppers and onions. Bake on center oven rack fo
r 15 minutes or until the cheese melts.
