Fettuccini Alfredo with Ham and Peas
1 pound HEB fettuccini
1 cup HEB heavy whipping cream (8 oz)
2 cups milk
2 cups (10 oz package) frozen petite peas
6 to 8 oz. cooked ham
* salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Cook fettuccine according to package directions.
While fettuccine is cooking, pour the cream and milk into a large skil
let. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then add the frozen peas,
ham, salt and pepper, to taste.
Bring mixture back to a boil, stirring constantly. As soon it begins t
o boil again, turn off heat and set aside.
When fettuccine is done, drain well, then place back in the cooking po
t. Add the cream sauce mixture and stir gently and constantly over med
ium-low heat until liquid is mostly absorbed (about 4-5 minutes). Spri
nkle with Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
