Texas Originals Smokey Bacon Burgers
1 bag frozen H-E-B Texas Originals Jalapeno or Cheddar Beef Patties
1 pound H-E-B Fully Cooked Bacon, optional
1 large sweet onion
* Fischer & Wieser® Texas 1015 Onion Glaze
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup Fischer & Weiser® Smokey Mesquite Mustard
* hamburger buns or Kaiser rolls
* lettuce leaves & sliced tomatoes
Heat charcoal 30 minutes until covered with a light layer of gray ash
or heat gas grill on High 10 minutes with lid closed.
Cut onions into 1/4-inch thick slices. Split buns or rolls.
Place onions on grill. Cook 5 minutes per side; baste generously with
Texas 1015 Onion Glaze. Turn and baste again; cook to desired doneness
. Grill patties according to package directions. Place buns around per
imeter of grill to heat.
Heat bacon on grill 1 to 2 minutes per side or heat in microwave accor
ding to package directions.
Spread mayonnaise and mustard on buns. Place patties, bacon, onion, le
ttuce, and tomato slices between buns. Serve immediately.
