Laura's Spicy Grilled Ribeyes
8 to 14 minutes
1 1/2 pounds boneless Beef Ribeye Steaks, cut 1-inch thick
1/4 cup Nantucket Pueblo Rub
* New Canaan Farms Jalapeño BBQ Sauce, for basting
Sprinkle rub evenly over both sides of steaks; press to adhere. Season
steaks with salt and pepper. Set steaks aside.
Heat charcoal 30 minutes until covered with a light layer of gray ash,
or heat gas grill on High 10 minutes with lid closed.
Grill steaks 4 inches above Medium heat (375 degrees grill surface tem
perature) 4 to 7 minutes per side. Baste cooked side of steaks with sa
uce after turning.
Remove from grill when steaks reach an internal temperature of 140 deg
rees to 155 degrees for Medium-Rare to Medium doneness. Let stand 3 mi
nutes and serve.
