1 pound Beef Center-Cut Top Sirloin Steak, cut 3/4-inch thick
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons beef broth
1/4 cup Terra Sol Citrus & Spice Steak Sauce
1/2 cup fancy shredded sharp cheddar cheese
* cilantro sprigs or chopped green onions, for garnish
Season both sides of steak with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in a large skillet over Medium-High heat. Brown steak 2 to 3
minutes per side. Reduce heat to Medium and cook 5 more minutes. Remov
e to a plate and cover to keep warm.
Add 1/2 cup broth to same skillet; scrape up and stir in any browned b
its left in bottom of skillet. Cook 3 minutes or until reduced slightl
y. Dissolve cornstarch in 2 tablespoons broth. Stir steak sauce and co
rnstarch solution into skillet; heat and stir to blend and thicken. Re
move skillet from heat.
Cut steak into 4 portions. Pour sauce over steaks; sprinkle with chees
e and top with cilantro or green onions. Serve immediately.
