Blue Cheese & Apple Burgers
6 frozen H-E-B Fully Cooked Thick 'N Juicy Burgers
2 tart red apples
1/3 lb. blue cheese
6 Kaiser rolls, white or wheat
2/3 cup Hellman's Honey Mustard Madness Dipping Sauce
6 leaf or romaine lettuce leaves
* red onion slices, optional
Heat charcoal 30 minutes until covered with a light layer of gray ash
or heat gas grill on High 10 minutes with lid closed.
Meanwhile, core apples and trim ends. Cut each apple into 6 thin slice
s. Slice cheese as thinly as possible. Split Kaiser rolls.
Heat frozen burgers 5 minutes per side, directly on grill grate over M
edium heat. Hold palm just above grate. If heat causes you to pull awa
y in 4 seconds, heat is ideal (375 degree grill surface temperature).
Place cheese slices on burgers after turning. Grill apples 2 to 3 minu
tes per side. Toast bread on perimeter of grill.
Spread mustard on buns (scant 1 tablespoon per side). Place burgers on
buns and top each with 2 apple slices, lettuce leaves, and sliced oni
on, if desired.
