2 pounds steak
2 onions, finely chopped
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 pinch cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons capers, chopped
2 teaspoons mixed herbs (thyme, sage, oregano)
1/3 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup vinegar
Trim the steak and cut into pieces. Place in an ovenproof dish and cov
er with the chopped onions.
Blend other ingredients together and pour over steak. (The chopped oni
