Tropical Flan

Ingredients

1 cup sugar

1 (14 oz.) can Lalechera Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 (12 oz.) can evaporated skim milk

5 eggs, beaten

3/4 cup coconut

1 cup orange Juice

Directions


Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
Cook sugar in a small skillet over medium high heat, stirring occasion
ally, until melted and golden in color.
Pour caramelized sugar into a 9x13-inch baking dish and tilt dish so t
hat caramelized sugar is evenly spread; set aside.
Caramelized sugar will crackle as it cools.
Combine condensed milk, evaporated skim milk, eggs, coconut, and orang
e juice in a large bowl: stir well.
Pour custard mixture into caramel coated baking dish and place inside
a larger baking dish.
Fill outside baking dish halfway with water and place in center oven r
ack.
Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center
of the flan comes out clean.
Carefully, remove flan dish from hot water bath and cool on a rack.
Chill thoroughly before serving
