Chocolate Chip Toffee Squares

Ingredients

4 1/2 cups oats

1 tablespoon vanilla

1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

1/2 cup light corn syrup

1/2 teaspoon salt

2/3 cup chopped nuts

1 (12 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Directions


Heat oven to 400 degrees.
Grease a 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan.
Combine oats, brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt; mix
well.
Firmly press mixture into prepared pan, bake about 18 minutes or until
mixture is brown and bubbly.
Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate morsels evenly ove
r toffee.
Let stand 10 minutes until chocolate melts.
Spread chocolate evenly over toffee and sprinkle with nuts.
Cool completely.
Cut into squares and store tightly covered in a cool, dry place
