Asparagus Quiche

1 Hill Country Fare refrigerated pie crust

6 slices H-E-B Fully Cooked bacon, chopped

1 9 ounce box frozen Hill Country Fare asparagus spears, cut into 1-in
ch sections

4 eggs, beaten

1 1/2 cups H-E-B half and half, heavy cream or skim milk

1 cup shredded H-E-B jalapeno jack cheese


Heat oven to 400 degrees. Line a deep-dish pie pan with one Hill Count
ry Fare refrigerated pie crust. Sprinkle chopped bacon and cut frozen
asparagus in pie crust and set aside.
Combine eggs, half and half or cream and 1/2 cup of shredded cheese in
a bowl. Season mixture with salt and fresh cracked black pepper. Care
fully pour egg mixture over asparagus and bacon. Top the quiche with r
emaining shredded cheese.
Bake on center oven rack for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Reduce oven te
mperature to 350 degrees and continue baking quiche for 35 more minute
s or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean
