1 Tablespoon McCormick grill mates mesquite seasoning
24 Hill Country Fare chicken wings
3 cups Hill Country Fare Canola Oil for frying
1/2 cup H-E-B speciality series barbeque sauce any flavor
1 cup Chopped green onions
Remove and discard excess fat from chicken wings. Season wings with Mc
Cormick Mesquite Seasoning and set aside on a sheet of foil.
Heat canola oil in a heavy bottom frying skillet or electric fryer to
375F. Fry 6 to 8 wings at a time until golden brown (about 10 minutes)
. Drain fried wings on paper towels.
Drain oil from skillet into a heat proof bowl. Heat the same skillet o
ver high heat and add the H-E-B Specialty Series Barbecue Sauce and ch
icken wings to hot skillet. Stir-fry the wings to coat well with the s
auce. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 15 minutes. Serve wings hot.
Optional Grilling Method: You can also grill the chicken wings for 6
minutes on each side, dip the wings in the Barbecue Sauce and then gr
ill for 4 minutes on each side or until the juices run clear when pier
ced in the center
