Frijoles Refritos-Refried Beans
2 strips bacon
5 cups drained, cooked pinto beans
1/2 to 1 cup water
1 clove clove of garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Cut up bacon.
Place bacon in large skillet.
Cook until crisp.
Pour beans into skillet.
Mash beans with a potato masher.
Add 1/2 cup water, garlic, salt and chili powder.
Heat uncovered, 5-7 minutes or until beans are thickened.
Add remaining 1/2 cup water if necessary
