This collection of short stories was inspired by Fallon's own experiences as an army wife living in Fort Hood and has earned her rave reviews from Publishers Weekly. In addition, the New York Times writes, "Fallon tells a gripping, straight-up, no-nonsense stories about American soldiers and their families. It's clear from her tender yet tough-minded first book that she knows this world very well."
Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell has also chosen Fallon's book as one of this year's selections for the 10th Annual Mayor's Book Club.
