recipe categories / breads / biscuits, muffins and popovers Blueberry Croissants Courtesy of My H-E-B Texas Life Magazine Ingredients: 1 pint fresh blueberries 1 tablespoon H-E-B Granulated Sugar 1 package (8 oz.) Hill Country Fare Crescent Rolls 3 tablespoons H-E-B "More Fruit" Fourberry Fruit Spread 1 egg white (optional) 2 tablespoons Central Market Organics™ Cane Sugar Directions: 1 Heat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking spray. 2 In a bowl, combine blueberries with 1 tablespoon granulated sugar until berries are coated; set aside. 3 Unroll crescent rolls into 8 equal-sized triangles. On the shortest length of each triangle, place 1 teaspoon fruit spread in center. Press 2 tablespoons of blueberry mixture into fruit spread. Roll dough and fruit up along the length of the triangle. Whisk together egg white and 1/2 teaspoon of water. Brush rolls with egg white mixture and sprinkle with cane sugar. Bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes or until golden. |
