recipe categories / meats / beef / ground beef Beef Chalupas Compuestas Courtesy of H-E-B Cooking Connections Ingredients: 1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen H-E-B Fully Cooked Taco Seasoned Beef Crumbles 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans 8 H-E-B Tostada Shells (red or yellow) 1 cup H-E-B Salsa Picante 1 avocado, seeded and peeled or 8 oz. H-E-B Fresher Lasting Avocado 1/3 cup H-E-B Regular or Lite Sour Cream 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded Colby Jack cheese Directions: 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Heat beef crumbles according to package directions. Heat beans on stovetop or in microwave until hot. 3. Place tostada shells on a large baking sheet; heat shells in oven 5 to 10 minutes or until crispy and browned. Mash avocado; season with salt and pepper to taste. 4. To assemble chalupas, spread about 3 tablespoons beans over each shell. Layer beef crumbles, evenly divided, over each. Drizzle each with 2 tablespoons salsa. Spread with avocado and top with sour cream and cheese. Serve immediately. |
