recipe categories / meats / beef / steaks T-Bone Steak with 6666 Soppin´ Sauce Courtesy of Texas Beef Council Ingredients: 4 T-bone steaks 1 cup water 16 ounces 1 can tomato paste 5 teaspoon chili powder 2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 cup catsup 1 teaspoon garlic salt 3 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/3 cup cider vinegar 1/3 cup lemon juice 1/2 cup margarine 1/4 teaspoon cayenne 6 tablespoon honey 6 tablespoon brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt Directions: Combine water, tomato paste, chili powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper, catsup, 1/2 tsp. garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce, cider vinegar, lemon juice, margarine or butter, cayenne, honey, brown sugar and 1/2 tsp. salt in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer one hour, stirring occasionally. If used as a basting sauce, baste meat with sauce when almost done. Season T-bones with garlic salt and black pepper, to taste. Grill, over medium coals, to desired doneness, approximately 20 minutes for medium. Five minutes before done, baste with sauce. |
