On Sunday, June 14, 2009 H-E-B announced the statewide winners in the 2009 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards. Winners were announced during the Awards Celebration held Austin at the Barton Creek Resort and Spa, where H-E-B gathered 39 educators and 7 school districts to honor them for their outstanding commitment to education.
