Cookwell Two-Step Sauces

Cookwell Two Step Chili
A true Texas classic, Cookwell’s Two Step Chili is a perfect way to enjoy an authentic bowl of chili. Made with vine-ripened tomatoes, four types of chiles, and fresh vegetables it’s the perfect base for your own pot of chili.

Simply brown one pound of ground meat — anything from beef, turkey, or venison — and add the Two-Step Chili mix. Then heat through, add your favorite toppings, and enjoy. Perfect for casseroles and a fantastic gift for those who want authentic Texas taste wherever they live.

Cookwell Two Step Green Chili Stew
Made with Hatch Green Chilies grown around Hatch, New Mexico, this isn’t your ordinary stew mix. Fresh tomatillos are a base for this slightly spicy mix. Tomatillos are bitter and acidic raw, but mellow when cooked. Their acidity aids the breakdown of tough connective tissue in meats to give you that fall-apart tenderness in your stew.

Traditionally made with pork but any type of meat will work in this mix. It’s also a great base for casseroles. Mix it with crushed tortilla chips and cooked diced chicken. Then spread in a 9x13 pan, top with cheese, and you will have a table-ready casserole.

Cookwell Two Step Gumbo
Fresh tomatoes, tender okra, and the trinity of all Louisiana gumbos — onion, bell pepper, and celery — all finely chopped and sauteed with seasonings, including bay leaves, cayenne pepper, thyme, and gumbo file. File is a seasoning unique to Louisiana cooking that includes ground leaves of the sassafras tree. Add shrimp, chicken, sausage, crawfish — whatever you desire to call the gumbo yours.

Adam’s Reserve Rubs

The Adams Reserve line was developed by cooks for cooks. These flavor-packed rubs make roasts and steaks taste like they came out of a steak house kitchen. Blends of pepper, garlic, and spices are ground finer than most rubs to adhere to your meats better.
