Winner takes home $500 in H-E-B Gift Cards
(SAN ANTONIO) – Debbie Parsons of San Antonio has won the first-prize in the script category of the “My H-E-B Commercial” Contest and $500 in H-E-B Gift Cards. Parsons will be presented with her award during a celebration event held in her honor at the H-E-B located at 300 Olmos on Friday, May 15 at 2:30 p.m.
The “My H-E-B Commercial” contest kicked-off in January and asked H-E-B customers to create their own commercial capturing what makes H-E-B “their H-E-B”. More than 600 Texans submitted entries. These entries were then narrowed to 20 finalists (10 in the video category and 10 in the script category) and two grand-prize winners (one video and one script). The 20 finalists were then placed on H-E-B’s Web site, www.heb.com, for customer voting to determine the contest’s first and second place winners. More than 16,000 total votes were cast with Parsons’ script obtaining 1,901 votes.
“Congratulations to Debbie on her first-place finish,” said Dya Campos, H-E-B Director of Public Affairs. “I also want to thank all the winners and finalists for their entries.”
