(SAN ANTONIO) – Thousands of families are expected to attend the first annual Healthy Baby
& Child Expo being held Saturday, March 4 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday March 5 from Noon to 6 p.m. at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
The event co-sponsored by Baptist Health System and H-E-B is designed to promote healthy families through interactive activities, seminars, product displays, giveaways and entertainment.
Attendees can participate in the Huggies Diaper Derby, learn how to cook healthy food and make tasty snacks for children, sample delicious food in the H-E-B kitchen, explore H-E-B’s new line of baby products, and visit the Fisher Price "Toy Island". Kids can meet the Colgate Robot while parents can watch a video about developing good oral hygiene habits with children. Parents will also have the opportunity to visit the Baptist Health System "Birthing Center," get a free sonogram, receive free spa treatments, learn about breastfeeding and breast pumping, receive free body fat index results from professional fitness trainers from Baptist Health System, and much more.
Event highlights:
- H-E-B’s giant motorized 16-hundred pound, 12-feet high, 14-feet long, shopping cart filled with diapers. Attendees have the opportunity to win $1,000 in baby merchandise from H-E-B Plus by guessing the number of diapers in the giant cart.
