H-E-B and Texas: Growing Together As
part of our 100th anniversary celebration, H-E-B has partnered with American
Forests, this nation's oldest nonprofit citizens' conservation organization,
on an exciting environmental educational projectTrees
for Texas. Read more about it.Sixth through eighth grade public school teachers within any of H-E-B's service areas may apply to be selected as one of 40 educators to receive CITYgreen software and training designed to help students understand the value of trees to the environment and their communities. Participants will also receive five historic tree saplings to be planted at their schools or in their communities. Additionally, one hundred trees will be planted in the schools' honor as part of American Forest's Global ReLeaf" reforestation project. Teachers who are selected will be required to attend one of these four training sessions, lasting from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on the following dates:
Teachers may apply by completing and e-mailing an application from this website no later than midnight on October 1, 2004. Or download an application form that you can fax.
